Oswego is a fast growing community. In fact, at one point we were the fastest growing community in the nation. To keep up with this massive upheaval in population and industry, Oswego has grown in attractions and tourist events. However, Oswego still holds on to its small town charm, held together by its family values and natural scenery. Oswego has a pleasant mix of small neighborhoods, prairie, farmlands, babbling brooks, and rich forests.

This mix of so many different kinds of foliage makes Oswego one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. Hudson Park is a park that runs right next to the Fox River and cuts through the middle of down town Oswego. It is a perfect place to go and relax or watch the kids play. Once a year Hudson Park opens up for Wine on the Fox, where people can go and celebrate being twenty-one while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Oswego.
There are many different places to eat in Oswego, as well. After the sudden population spike, there was an increased demand for food in the area. Since then, restaurants, fast food joints and bars have been pouring into our town. The Crazy Bull Inn and Saloon even has a mechanical bull people can ride. There is never a shortage of things to do in Oswego.
There are two high schools located in Oswego and both have open admission to all sporting events and there is at least one going on every day. Oswego, like a lot of small towns, is famous for having amazing athletics because that's the only way we can get on the map. And if you'd rather play sports than watch sports, there are skate parks, baseball fields, soccer pitches, pools, tennis courts and basketball courts scattered all over Oswego. Parkside Lanes is a bowling alley right on the boarder of Oswego and Montgomery and every night they have a laser light show while you bowl. There is the famous Fox Bend Golf Course which is a popular hangout for the more sophisticated members of the Oswego community and the Kendall 10 Movie Theater where the teenage population hangs out. Oswego may once have been famous for having been the fastest growing city in the nation, but I believe we should be famous for our family values and beautiful landscape.
