Bohol

Bohol is an island of the Philippines. Bohol is also called as “the Jewel of the Philippines” because of its magnificent natural resources such as the Chocolate Hills, Old Catholic churches and white sand beaches.

The Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills are made of 1, 776 nature made hills, it turns green during rainy season while it turns brown during dry season and that’s where the name of the hills were derived from.  The people can watch the Chocolate Hills at the designated area that was made for sight-seeing. It is built on top of a hill with a lot of stairs to get to the top, and as they get to the top, they will see the beautiful Chocolate Hills all over the place, and one of the traditions when people get there is to make their wish with a coin, throw it on the well and ring the bell to make the wishes comes true.

Churches

Many of the people in Bohol are Catholics with the influence from Spain. The Spaniards built many Catholic churches in Bohol. One of the famous old churches in Bohol is the Baclayon Church which was built on 1717 and was finished on 1727. Most of the churches are made up of coral stones from the sea and cut into blocks. Also, the Our Lady of Light Parish in Loon which was built on 1853 which is also built with coral stones and have 174 steps flight of stairs connected to each other of which is called “Inang-angan”.

Beach

Philippines not just Bohol is famous for its white sand beaches, because it has more than 7,000 islands. But in Bohol, it is more exceptional with its amazing view and coconut trees that are everywhere to give shade to the hot tropical place of Bohol. The coconut trees are very helpful to the people especially during dry season because it gives off shade to the people with the breezing air felt and heard with the leaves of the tree. The most famous beach in Bohol is the Panglao Island because of its white refined sand. Most of the tourists love our beautiful white sand beaches with its refined sands that feels soft in the soles of our feet.

Hospitality

Many tourists all over the world have been to Bohol because of its magnificent view of natural resources such as the white sand beaches, the water falls, the rivers, and the Chocolate hills. But some of the tourists come back because of the warm welcome that Filipinos gives to them. We give them happiness, laughter, and smiles wherever they go, we have a great hospitality towards them. Some of the tourists are worried about the language, no worries because Filipinos can speak English because we have been taught English starting at kindergarten or even at home.

To conclude, Bohol, Philippines is a great tourist attraction where they can really enjoy their vacation better. The people have great hospitalities that can provide the tourists to have a better and enjoyable vacation. Let’s go and be happy!

Reading Fran Falkin’s insights took me back to my first trip with Whiskers, my feline companion. The chaos of ensuring he was comfortable amidst the hustle of the airport was a lesson in patience. Had I come across these invaluable tips earlier, our journey would’ve been as smooth as a calm sea.

I read your article on the Sheep of Sun Valley and I found it very fascinating and enjoyable. You have given a detailed and colorful account of your experience at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, which celebrates the history and culture of sheepherding in Idaho. I think your article is a great way to introduce this unique and fun event to other travelers and families who are looking for a different and memorable adventure.
