Located on the West tip of Texas, the city of El Paso is the next up and coming city in the state. Currently, the city of El Paso is building an AAA baseball stadium while renovating the downtown area. A big city with a small city mentality, El Paso always has something going on for everyone. From music festivals in the spring like Neon Desert, to Al Freso Fridays during the summer citizens and visitors always have something to do every weekend.

Those who seek adventure can also enjoy El Paso year biking in the Franklin Mountains, swimming in Elephant Butte (2 hours Northwest), mountain climbing at Guadalupe Peak (2.5 hours East) or take a full moon hike at White Sands where the sand is a beautiful white (1 hour North).
For those history buffs, El Paso has one of the richest histories in the country. You can go to the mission trail and visit the oldest parish in the country. A visit to the Magoffin home can prove quite interesting with its deep cultural roots in military and architecture. And touring downtown, you will see The Camino Real and the Plaza Theatre along with streets where famous characters like Billy the Kid, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw have walked, stayed, and performed.
What else is there to do? Well, you can have your own “me day” spending your time at one of El Paso’s four shopping and outlet malls. You can ride an “air gondola” at Wyler Aerial Tramway viewing the beautiful desert from the sky. Why not head over to Western Playland or Wet-n-Wild for some fun amusement rides? Take the family to the Chamizal for Music Under The Stars every Friday night or take your significant other to Scenic Drive and watch the sun set over the rest of the city below.

Nicknamed the Sun City, El Pasoans enjoy 300 days of sunlight as well as a sound sleep at night while holding the safest city position for a city its size. El Paso has the deepest geological history in the country, and El Paso has one of the richest heritages in the country. Surrounded by three states, two countries, El Paso celebrates American and Mexican holidays such as the 4TH of July, and 16 de Septienbre, which is the Mexican day of independence. Also, celebrate New Year’s in Mexico and walk 20 minutes to downtown El Paso and celebrate it again! Don’t worry, El Paso is on Mountain Time while its sister city and the rest of Texas are an hour ahead. Voted an all-American city, El Paso is proud of Ft. Bliss, the largest military base in the country. Don’t forget about the food! Authentic Mexican food is around the corner at any given spot in the city.
