The Crab Trap
Destin Beach

Have you had a stressful year? Are you looking for somewhere to relax and take a load off? Then come on down to the beautiful beachside town, Destin, FL!

Since it became a city in 1984, Destin has remained one of the main tourist locations of Northwest Florida, and it’s easy to see why. The pristine white sand and the crystal clear, emerald green water attract many. This beach resort is located on the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Another attractive feature of Destin is its tropical climate. During the summer months, the typical day averages around 88 degrees, which makes it possible for visitors to enjoy all amenities of the beach. As attractive as the scenery and climate are, there is much more to Destin than meets the eye.

Another of the many reasons to come to Destin is to saturate yourself in the amazing culture. It is easy to find yourself submerged in the beach town life with a twist of southern hospitality. Within a week, you will be using terms such as “shred the gnar” and will know to always keep back-up beach clothes in your car. One of the best ways to learn about the culture of Destin is to ask the locals; for they are great people and welcome tourists with open arms. They will be able to tell you the best places to eat, party, or relax. I would definitely take a trip to The Back Porch or The Crab Trap while here, but don’t eat so much that you can’t take part in the local attractions.

One thing Destin has to offer is a variety of attractions. Are you someone who likes to get in touch with nature? Go lounge on the beach and watch the waves crash on the shore. Looking for somewhere to go with the family? Big Kahuna’s, the local water park, and The Track, the local amusement park, are right there on Highway 98. Are you the type of person that loves the rush of adrenaline? Feel free to try bungee jumping, parasailing, jet-skiing, or many of the other water sports Destin has to offer. Are you someone who loves to shop? The Destin Commons and the Sandestin Outlets are the perfect places for you to fulfill all of your shopping needs. I personally recommend that you learn to surf our beaches while down here. What I’m trying to say is that Destin has something for everyone to enjoy.

So calling all shoppers, surfers, and adventurers, Destin, FL is the one stop shop for fun. Lay on our white beaches, soak up our culture, and partake in several of our numerous attractions. Whether you are young or seasoned, Destin is the spot for you. So come on down and I’ll see you on the jetties! I’ll be the one with the red and white YoloBoard. Shred the Gnar!
