When you wake up to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, it’s nearly impossible to “wake up on the wrong side of the bed”. That is reality on the little island of Kaua’i, Hawai’i. The beautiful waterfalls, hikes, sandy beaches, grottos, and mountains uniquely distinguish Kaua’i from other tourist destinations around the world.

The South side of Kaua’i is known as the “Sunny South”. It rarely rains in the dry climate and therefor creates the perfect weather for beach days and outdoor adventures. Shipwrecks is a great surf spot directly fronting the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort. Many tourists and locals enjoy the calm island settting as well as the adrenaline rush you get if you choose to jump off Shipwreck’s  fourty foot cliff. The beach is beautiful and so are the sunsets. There are tons of great places to eat in Po’ipu such as Josseline’s Tapas, Bubba’s Burgers, and Uncles Shave Ice. The island of Kaua’i is visited by more than 1 million tourists, from around the world, each year. While many make their stay on the white sandy beaches of the Sunny South, others choose to head north for their vacation in paradise.

The North Shore has a very moist climate which creates the perfect setting for lush forest escapades, river kayaking adventures, or hikes to nearby waterfalls. The North Shore of Kaua’i is well known amongst the celebrities of the modern day. Many movie stars such as Adam Sandler and Will Smith own houses in the North Shore area. While walking the vast Hanalei Bay, I saw Jaden Smith strolling nonchalantley with a few body guards behind him. Movie stars like to get away from the busy scene and relax in the peaceful serenity of the Kauaiain lifestyle, and I think you would too. Less than 70,000 people call the island of Kauai their home. With the rural lifestyle, quiet relaxation is not hard to come by. Link to my video to get a better look at the amazing place I get to call home.
