Travel Media Showcase (TMS) is where the travel trade meets one-on-one with a broad spectrum of invited travel journalists and bloggers. Now in its 19th year, and held in a different location annually, TMS promotes new tourism places and attractions through a variety of media channels, allowing little known destinations to shine.
Travel Media Showcase is proud to sponsor the 2018 FTF Teen Travel Writing Scholarship, which asks teens to share their favorite travel experience in words, pictures and videos. Supporting our teens to “move write along” in their lives and careers, we encourage the next generation of communicators and travelers by rewarding their best work with merit scholarships.
At Travel Media Showcase, the definition of “journalist” has expanded to include digital editors, staff and freelance travel writers, magazine and newspaper travel writers, broadcast travel journalists, internet travel journalists, bloggers and social media influencers.
Each year, travel industry representation at TMS grows too, including convention and visitors bureaus, domestic and international destination tourism offices, major hotel chains, airlines, cruise lines, PR firms, transportation companies, entertainment attractions and gaming venues.
Travel Media Showcase delivers a cost effective opportunity for exhibitors to present story ideas and background materials to national media representatives, schedule follow-up media visits, host regional press tours and hold networking events; thereby generating millions of positive media impressions from attendees. The 2018 Travel Media Showcase will be held in Niagara Falls, New York from September 11-14.
TMS will produce its 11th TMS Family Travel conference November, 2018 in Gallup, New Mexico. Focused on the industry’s fastest growing segment — family travel – and co-hosted by national columnist Eileen Ogintz of Taking The Kids and Kyle McCarthy of Family Travel Forum, these TMS events bring together media professionals for enrichment workshops and networking. Attendees and sponsors specializing in the enormous family segment of the travel industry will explore Gallup while learning the latest skills necessary to grow their brands across a variety of new platforms.
