It’s always a great time to visit Orlando, and the 200-acre World Center Marriott is more than happy to accommodate grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, their children, and their children with vacation deals.
Book a stay in some of the 2,000+ rooms at this fun mega-resort now, so the whole family can enjoy special connecting room discounts through June 2018 (although a variety of discounts are often available.)
The more-than-anyone-needs resort has a Two-Room Package deal in play. This special offers the family a resort-view room with one king bed and a guaranteed connecting room with two double beds, as well as self parking, starting from $338/N; rates vary by season. All you have to do is book two days in advance so they can line up connecting rooms, using the promotional code DRE. If you consider the resort’s “Kids Eat Free” deal — all kids 12 and under can eat free any time an adult orders an entree — this is a great option for those who plan to hang around the resort and party.
A few years ago, the already enormous property underwent a multi-million dollar transformation to its Falls Pool complex, suites, meeting spaces, restaurants and kids facilities. More than 100 suites, lawn and play area, Splash Zone with a zero-entry pool, playground a Slide Tower featuring two 200-foot-long winding waterslides and one 90-foot-long speed waterslide.
You can tell that the fun begins right on property, so you can hold off on the theme parks for a few days (big savings right here). Of their six tropical pools, two are for kids, the Falls pool has just been redone, and there’s an indoor pool, six whirlpool spas, and tons of on-site activities for any age.
Each day, kids ages 5-12 stay busy with supervised poolside activities like face painting, hair braiding, movies, games and more. Endless recreational activities include tennis, water volleyball or basketball to keep the kids in shape. Your youngest will also like the activity center and large video arcade that includes air hockey and ping-pong. Older kids and parents and can challenge each other to a game of tennis on one of four tennis courts, or try out volleyball in a sand court.
Golfers will be interested in the Hawk’s Landing Championship Golf Club, just steps outside the resort doors, and Mom will love the great shopping and spas, all on-site. Of course, when you’re ready to step out, Orlando’s most famous attractions — the Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando theme parks, and many more — are just minutes away.
Note that as we go to press, some other specials for AAA members, spa and golf packages and military discounts are in effect. Deals change often so visit Marriott World Center Specials for an updated list of the Marriott’s offers. For more information or reservations, call your travel agent, or the resort at 800/380-7931.

Wow, Fran Falkin’s pet travel tips are a lifesaver! ? Planning our pet-friendly vacation has been a breeze thanks to these insightful tips. We followed tip #2, and now our fur baby practically loves their carrier, making our journey stress-free. Plus, we found a cozy hotel that welcomes our pet, so they’re enjoying the adventure just as much as we are. Thanks, Fran, for turning our pet travel worries into tail-wagging excitement!

Great post.
Yes, recent trends suggest that Americans are regaining confidence in vacations and travel. As travel restrictions ease and vaccination rates increase, many Americans are showing a greater willingness to travel and explore destinations again. However, it’s important to stay updated on travel advisories and safety measures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
Reading Fran Falkin’s insights took me back to my first trip with Whiskers, my feline companion. The chaos of ensuring he was comfortable amidst the hustle of the airport was a lesson in patience. Had I come across these invaluable tips earlier, our journey would’ve been as smooth as a calm sea.
Thank you! I value it!
Great information. Cheers.

I read your article on the Sheep of Sun Valley and I found it very fascinating and enjoyable. You have given a detailed and colorful account of your experience at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, which celebrates the history and culture of sheepherding in Idaho. I think your article is a great way to introduce this unique and fun event to other travelers and families who are looking for a different and memorable adventure.
