What's Red and Black and White All Over? A Caviar Lobster Roll! - My Family Travels

‘Tis the season for holiday revelry and last-minute shopping, and how great would it be if you could bundle these two activities into an easy breezy family afternoon outing?

It would be awesome, right?

Luke's Lobster Roll with Petrossian Caviar
Luke’s Lobster Roll with Petrossian Caviar for the holidays.

This holiday season our lobster roll patrol discovered that a favorite, Luke’s Lobster  is garnishing its signature lobster rolls with Petrossian Caviar (yes, that Petrossian) through the end of this year and hopefully (someday) for the rest of our lives.  Want in?

Here’s the deal:

Luke’s regular lobster roll runs $16.  From now through New Year’s, $45 nets you a luscious lobster roll plus a 20-gram tin of Petrossian’s Baikal caviar on the side — enough to blacktop the roll and entice your kids to the Dark Side by trying black food scooped up on their Cape Cod Potato Chips.  It’s never too early to give those you love a taste of the high life.

Now, you may be thinking this sounds like a budget-buster; however, this A-team caviar retails at $65 for 30 grams, so the Luke’s deal really is a deal. It comes with a silver lining too — Mom and Dad can wash these delectables down with a Clambake Chardonnay or favorite beer while the kids fight over who’s going to try which flavor of Maine soda or Mexican cola, followed by a family meeting to discuss which rolls to try next; the grilled cheese lobster roll, the lobster Mac & Cheese  or maybe a crab or shrimp roll with a side of wild blue salad or clam chowder?  Yes, all of them are as scrumptious as they sound.  So much heaven, so little time…

Trust us, this is the most delicious, most delirious way to find your family’s inner merry, outer jolly and holiday Ho Ho Ho!  This limited edition Caviar Lobster Roll is only available at select Luke’s locations in Boston, Las Vegas, New York City and Washington, D.C.

Wow, Fran Falkin’s pet travel tips are a lifesaver! ? Planning our pet-friendly vacation has been a breeze thanks to these insightful tips. We followed tip #2, and now our fur baby practically loves their carrier, making our journey stress-free. Plus, we found a cozy hotel that welcomes our pet, so they’re enjoying the adventure just as much as we are. Thanks, Fran, for turning our pet travel worries into tail-wagging excitement!

Yes, recent trends suggest that Americans are regaining confidence in vacations and travel. As travel restrictions ease and vaccination rates increase, many Americans are showing a greater willingness to travel and explore destinations again. Reading Fran Falkin’s insights took me back to my first trip with Whiskers, my feline companion. The chaos of ensuring he was comfortable amidst the hustle of the airport was a lesson in patience. Had I come across these invaluable tips earlier, our journey would’ve been as smooth as a calm sea.

I read your article on the Sheep of Sun Valley and I found it very fascinating and enjoyable. You have given a detailed and colorful account of your experience at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, which celebrates the history and culture of sheepherding in Idaho. I think your article is a great way to introduce this unique and fun event to other travelers and families who are looking for a different and memorable adventure.
