Meeting a Celebrity - My Family Travels

Last year, my father took me to meet Kiefer Sutherland, the actor who plays Jack Bauer on Fox’s 24. We met him at the Joe Nardone’s Gallery of Sound in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania. He was promoting the band, Rocco Deluca and the Burden, a band he signed under his recording company, Ironworks.

First, the band played a couple of their songs. Then, the owner went up on stage and said it was now time for a meet and greet with Mr. Sutherland and the band.

After waiting in line for about forty-five minutes, it was my turn. Mr. Sutherland was very gracious and very pleasant to be around.

As I was about to leave, I noticed my father was still talking to Mr. Sutherland, so I went back. The next thing I know, my father asked him if it was okay for me to give him a kiss on the cheek.

To my surprise, he said, ‘Okay’! Like a gentlemen, he stood up and I leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. After that, I called just about everyone I knew and told them that I had kissed a celebrity. That was definitely the best day of my life!
