Take it from me, taveling is not just a piece of cake. It takes careful planning and even with that you never know what to expect! I have been to twenty different countries and almost all of the states. My father was in the military — that’s how I got so lucky.
When it comes to traveling there really is no such thing as bringing to much clothes. You never know what could happen, so come prepared, expecially if you have children. If you plan on bringing a purse or a wallet make sure that the purse is small and it fits only your money, passports and ID.
With your wallet, put it in your front pocket. You see my mother made that mistake and ended up with out any money, ID or passport when we where in Rome! It was the craziest thing.
Getting around really is not to hard. Most of the time walking can get you to where your going. Also the bus or a taxi, but if you plan on riding the train there are a few things you need to know. Down in the Tubes or train stations, when people walk up to you and say things like ‘Look up there what a beautiful bird’, do not look people! It is a distraction to steal your purse, that one was my mistake. Be sure to watch everyone, because you never know who is going to be watching you.
Traveling is not all about looking out for your well being, for me it is about seeing the world. The trip I went on to Italy and I saw Rome, what a beautiful place. Some people there are the friendliest I have ever met. They also have people act and dress like Gladiators; they stand around the Collesium and let you take pictures. It’s a great place to take the kids.
Rome is known for their beautiful statues and art work and if you go further south down Italy, they have amazing beaches. Speaking about the beaches, if you can not stand to see naked, be naked,or be around naked then do not go to the beaches in Europe! Or if you have a heart condition, stay away! On the other hand if you don’t mind it, then the beaches are the place for you.
In Europe, including Italy, they have nude beaches. The women walk around topless, the men wear Speedos and age really doesn’t matter. It was quite a sight, one I wish I never saw. Just make sure when you travel, research the country, make sure the hotels are in good shape and as soon as you get there do not be like a man and think you have a sense of direction everywhere you go.
Be a tourist and get a guide book and a map, which you can buy just about any place, so when you are lost in the middle of Italy it might just save your life. Trust me!
