Yosemite National Park is such a beautiful place to be. It may be a lot of miles away from where I live but the long road trip was worth it. I will never forget my visit because I experienced and seen many new things.
At first I thought it would be a boring family vacation, but it was so much more than that. I actually enjoyed spending time my family and close friends. This trip has taught me to never take family for granted because they will always be there. Now I understand and I spend as much time as possible with them.
Electronics are my life and it just happened to be that there was no phone signal. I was disappointed but it was just one thing to go with out. On the other hand my ipod worked all right so I was not dying of an electronic-free trip. Yosemite had working showers and toilets so I never had to use the bathroom behind a tree or take a bath in the river. Nature is such a beautiful site and I will never take it for granted.
I tired new things and surprisingly I was brave enough to jump of a bridge into the Merced River. That experience was one of the most fun things I have ever done. It was really high and I though that I was going to die but it was really fun. I also tried something else but I do not think I would consider it fun. We were rafting in the river and I decided to get out and swim for a while. Just happens that I got out at the wrong time, I got off where that was a strong rapid and a lot of rocks. The current dragged me and I almost snapped my foot because it got stuck between to rocks. It was terrifying because the current pulled me under, but I did not panic so I make it out alive and in one piece. I hope I will never have to do that again because I felt as if my life was about to end.
On my visit I also seen a lot of new creature that I only seen on television. While eating dinner outside, a pack of raccoons came out to find some food. It was scary because the fist thing I thought about was rabies but they did not bother me. I also see baby skunks! They were really cute but I did not was to get sprayed with that funk. I was hoping to see a bear or at least a cub but I guess that were too shy to come out. But I seen two new animals and I was not disappointed at all.
My trip to Yosemite National Park is an adventure I’ll never forget. It was so satisfying and I also got to try and see new things. Living in the cities can never provide as much as Yosemite can and I am so glad that I took that trip with my family.
