Travel Experience in Mexico - My Family Travels

Traveling experiences have fascinated many individuals around the world. In 2007-2008, the family and I went to Mexico in which we have not visited in eight years, as a family. Many of us were thinking, how would they react when we arrive? Would they notice us? What are we going to do when we get there? Many questions were in our minds every time we passed a certain state in Mexico. On the other hand, I was just ready to meet some family because I love to know new family especially, from my dad’s side. Even though our minds are set for the trip we would experience, in this paper, I will first discuss why we are going to Mexico, then I will discuss the travel experiences, and finally I will discuss what we were doing and what it meant to us. The purpose of this paper is to illuminate readers on why family is an important role in our lives.

In November of 2007, my grandma calls our dad saying, “In December 18, my dad’s sister which is my Aunt Yvonne, is going to get married. Also, on December 27, my cousin Angeles is going to have her quinceañera.” This made our hearts pound so hard that we were begging to go. We all told my dad that, “We have to go, it has been about eight years since we have not gone as a family.” In the first week of December, our dad was getting our passports ready, so we can go. In December 15, we left our house around six o’clock in the evening.

We went through many urban cities as well as rural cities. We got to see many different kinds of cities, like the city of Quartzite, which are only RV homes. Their lifestyle was so different from what I live in. The most frustrating moment in our trip was going through Arizona because of its drastic weather, with scorching high temperatures and humid. On the other hand, we the night has fallen our relief for fresh air was relieved. Furthermore, when we arrived to the border between United States and Mexico, we were so excited just to get there so badly. When we thought that our minds were off of the desert, my parents barely told us that the state of Soñora is also full of high temperatures, too. Otherwise, when we arrived on the state capital of Sonora, Hermosillo, this is where my Uncle Adan lived at, in this urban city. At night, our relatives took us up this hill top which they call it the pastel (the cake) because it looks a cake at night. However, when you are on top of the hilltop, you can see the beautiful sight of this urban city. The next morning we left and later that day we arrived at another city called Mazatlan, Sinaloa. This city had the view of the beach something like San Diego, but with the Mexican theme. At night time, we went to the beach which was only like across the street. It was so relaxing with the water floating through our toes. Even though we took many pictures of this beautiful site, the next day we left to Jalisco, our state which we could go and have fun with our family.

When we got at Ameca, Jalisco, we were so relief to see our family and we had so much fun at the wedding and at the quinceanera. It was like the most perfect travel experience I ever had in my life because of family.
