My best trip ever was a couple months ago; it was the best experience ever. On spring break this year I got go to Italy, a dream come true. The trip was going to be made with the CHA Company, it was an educational tour. At first I was so nervous because I didn’t know anyone that was going, but during the trip we got to know each other and we became friends. That was the best, we got hang out do things together in our free time. I was also terrified, It was my first time ever that I was going to be really far from home, I didn’t know how I was to handle things when I got there, but things became simpler, I learned to be open minded and not worry about making a bad impression just to be myself and enjoy the trip.
The trip to Italy was the best trip ever; we went to Rome, Sorrento, Florence, and Venice. We went two says earlier before the tour commence, those days we spend them in Rome. We had time to walk on our own and get to know it better; we even learned to use the subway. Once the tour started in Rome we went to the coliseum, we went inside and they explained to us everything about it. We went to the Vatican, I go to see the Sistine Chapel, and it was beautiful. Also we went to the famous Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We walked through many plazas.
It was interesting to listen to people speak Italian, though most of them spoke English I always tried to speak Italian too, at least what the teachers had thought us.
On our way to Sorrento we passed through the Pompeii ruins and got a tour. It was really interesting how after so much time they still keep on finding new things. Sorrento was exceptionally beautiful, next to the ocean, all the palm trees, the city in the mountain, it was the most beautiful. There on the first day we went to a wood factory. Then the next day we went the Capri Island, not so far from there. That day was freezing cold but I still loved what I saw, everything was green and there were pretty flowers, gardens, and more. It had the most amazing views; I even got to see jellyfish in the ocean. In Florence we went to museums, churches and more plazas and we even went to a leather shop. I got to see the famous David statue. We also went to the sightseeing and experienced the most beautiful sunset. Venice was the best part of the trip, we walked around, went into a glass factory that made jewelry, and we even got to see how they were made. Then on our free time we went and got on the gondolas. When I got on my first impression was that I was going to fall, but I didn’t, it was the best experience ever. The gondolier passed under bridges and took us to see a lot of Venice. I took many pictures that one can even get tired of looking at them, I wanted to make sure and capture every second that I was in Italy so that I could come back home and show my family how great it was.
I had always dreamed to going to Europe. But it was only a dream until it came true.
