The Trip of a Lifetime - My Family Travels

The most important thing when traveling in a different country is that you know where you are going and have the trip planned out very well. Our group went through a company called ACIS. They were amazing! They provided a great tour guide for us and wonderful amenities. The schedule that they created for us was phenomenal; we got to see so many different sites. The hotels we stayed in were all 4 stars, the dinners they provided were delicious, and the price for the trip was excellent. I would definitely recommend ACIS to help anyone with future traveling plans.

In each city I found something that I fell in love with or really enjoyed! In London, my favorite thing we did was riding the London Eye. It gives you a bird’s eye view of the entire city and made for great picture opportunities. Also while we were in London we toured the Tower of London and Windsor Castle, both of which were fascinating. London was the ideal place to start our tour. After a night of flying we landed in a city that was similar to the ones we have back home. This made the transition to a different country and time zone a little easier.

When we arrived in Paris we were speechless. The city is beautiful, and the Eiffel Tower is indescribable. We were so shocked that we were actually there. In Paris we got the full effect of traveling. We went up the Eiffel Tower, walked around the Louvre, toured Notre Dame, and toured the Palace of Versailles. Each place we went we learned something about the culture in France, which is so different compared to the States. One thing that you must do while you are in Paris is try escargot. It’s really good.

The last two stops on our tour were just as amazing as the first two. Florence is an absolutely gorgeous city! The street venders and night time entertainment make you want to stay for the rest of your life! If you go to Florence walk the streets at night and check out all the stores.

Out of all the cities we toured, Rome probably had the most history. It’s so interesting to see and hear what people used to do thousands of years ago. One of my favorite parts was learning about the gladiators who fought in the Coliseum. Rome was a great place to end the trip. There were an infinite amount of sites to see, from the Vatican to the Spanish Steps.

My trip through Europe was amazing! I would go back in a heartbeat. It is important when you go to have a good tour set up, a great group of people, and the desire to learn about the other countries. Without those things your trip will not be a perfect as it can be. My trip to Europe opened my eyes to the world outside of the United States. I will never forget the places that I saw and the experiences I had.
