Recently I visited Mexico and Belize on a cruise with my father.  Our first stop on the cruise was in Cozumel, Mexico and was very beautiful.  Walking down the ocean-strip you can really get a taste of their culture.  There were many different shops with smiling faces in all of them.  The people would joke with you as you walked and sometimes you could find people dressed in costumes that you could take pictures with.  One shop in Cozumel had paintings that had a twist to them.  There were intricate designs of beaches, wolves, and other neat ideas; but were painted a little different, there were made strictly by spray paint.  There were many clothing shops and jewelry stores.  Also there were many activities to do that ranged from city tours, to water activities.  My father and I took part in swimming with Stingrays located right on the ocean-strip.  We got to learn about Stingray, and then got to hold, feed, and swim with them.

The next stop on our cruise was to Belize, which has one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world.  Because of that, when docking we had to make a lot of odd turns.  Also when we were ready to dock there was no harbor, so we had to be tendered in.  Then, as soon as you got off the tender there were streets of little shops.  At the end of some streets were chain-link fences where people were selling items through the fence.  While there, we participated in the Bacaab Ecopark horseback Riding excursion.  We took a bus ride through Belize City getting to look at some of the stores, houses, and schools.  We also got to see a historical lighthouse.  There, we put some bug spray on, and headed out,  They based the horses we got on our riding experience.  I was riding a brown horse named Trigger.  It is so hot there, even the horses were sweating.  After everyone was on his or her horse, we started for the trail.  During which we saw huge termite hives on most of the larger trees.  Also there was a fruit all over the ground.  It was dark brown to black in color.  Normally it would be believed to be rotten but actually that was how it was supposed to be eaten.  The fruit was a blood thickener and good for you if you ate the right amount.  However, if eaten to much, it can cause high cholesterol.  When everyone got back, I was able to try one.  One of the boys that worked there broke one open and put some in my hands.  It had a sweet taste, afterwards, we went back to the ship.

The next place was the colorful Costa Maya, Mexico.  When we got off the ship there were people with monkeys that you could take pictures with.  I took pictures with a monkey named Silver.  After a couple feet we took pictures with Sombreros on.  There were also four rock carvings in the entrance.  Then there was a decent sized pool with a bar actually in it.  Next to that was a passage to the ocean.  There were chairs for people that wanted to tan, but we climbed over the coral and dived into the world of Mexican fish.

My travel experience has been really inspirational.  One ting it inspired me to do was to travel more.  I made a list of places that I want to travel to.  Also I was able to get money from the places to see how they differed.
