Colorado

About three years ago exactly I took a trip to Colorado Springs with my dad. There we stayed with friends Phil and Joann. This was my first trip out of state, and it made me want to go everywhere. The first thing we did was land in the Denver Airport. The next couple of days consisted of visting the Dever Zoo, go to the Brancos Stadium, and watching the Rookies play the Yankees in baseball. This was the best trip of my whole entire life.

I was so happy that my dad choose me to go on this trip with him but when he mentioned going to see my favortie team play three times, I knew this would be the best time of my life. My favorite team is the New York Yankees, and they were in Colorado to play the Rockies three games in a row. I got to go to all of them! I was pretty disappionted when they lost every single one.

We also attended the Colorado Zoo this was really fun. I am terribly afraid of birds, and they have this cage where the birds are free to fly, and we actually had to walk through it! I was so scared I ran through the whole thing screaming my head off like a baby. Every one laughed at me bacuse at the end, there was a ginormous bird. It was actually a giant peacock running around so I ran for nothing. Scared out of my mind, I decided to run back to the elephants at the zoo. They are my favorite animal and I got to feed them a cracker. That was a really good day.

The next day we went up to Aspen. Since it was summer I never once expected to see snow. The second we got in the city I seen snow everywhere. I was so surpised. I had a snowball fight with my dad and I got him pretty good one time, right in the face. The we got to go to something even better, but it was a surprise.

We ended up in the Garden of Goddess. This was such a beautiful place. The the time all the moutaint were a oragne color and there was trees every where. I even got to see live rams. I have never seen a ram before so I thought I was the best thing ever. I really think every one should see the Garden of Goddess.

Then we got to go to all the capital buildings. We wanted to go to the Colorado Mint where I heard they print money, but we did not get to go because they were closed. We did go to this park where there were a lot of buildings, like meusumes and we got to go through them all. There was one floor where it had all of the presidents pictured, and the ones that are still alive where in a whole nother section. I thought that was really cool.

We also got to explore the city a little bit. Its nothing like im used to. Ive been to L.A and S.F but Denver was so different. I oved every bit of it. It seemed so relaxed almost like a ginormous suburb. It was a really quite city, except for when the Rockies got done playing of course. It was still a very beatiful place to be. My favorite part was eating lunch in the park looking at the really tall trees. Colorado was a very amazing state.
