It was my freshman year of high school the week of homecoming. My step-dad is a member of the American Ambulance Association and he had a conference in Orlando. He decided it would be a great idea for us to come with him and make it into a family trip. We were all very anxious to go, since we had never been. My mom, step-dad, sister, niece, and I started packing most of our stuff a few days before. I cannot remember what time our flight took off from Albany, NY, but I remember it being very early in the morning. Which is one point of our trip that none of us liked. We got to the airport and thankfully we remembered everything we needed and were able to get onto the plane with no problem. My niece was only two years old at the time and she was in heaven flying in her first airplane. We showed her where the clouds were and that the little itty bitty dots that she could see were buildings and cars. We had one stop along the way and then we finally entered Orlando International Airport. My step-dad planned everything out ahead of time and had decided that we were going to rent a house for the week that we were there instead of a hotel room. It was a wonderful idea. Our house had a big huge swimming pool that all of us could have fun playing in. We didn’t really plan out days but we were able to go to Disney World and Orlando Studios all of the days that we were there. We had a lot of fun riding all the fun rollercoasters and watching all the different 3D shows. I would say the only problem we had while we were there is that my neice was only two and somebody of course had to watch her while we went on rides. This became a problem because at the time she only wanted her mother to watch her. I would say other than that tiny issue we had a wonderful time with enjoying each other’s company. It is definitley a trip that I wil never forget.
