Cancun, Mexico - My Family Travels

For my senior spring break trip my three girlfriends and I went to the typical spring break destination, Cancun, Mexico. All of us leaving the country with no parents or guardians, I thought no way my parents will never let me go. But they did.

When we arrived we were swarmed with people eager to help us carry our luggage and take us to the resort. We kindly said “no thanks we can carry it and we have an Apple Vacations shuttle to our resort”. We got on our shuttle and our driver drove like a maniac, which I guess should have been assumed.

When we got to our resort it was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I have never been out of the country before so I was stunned. We went to the beach and laid out. We could do almost whatever we wanted. We went in the ocean (even though there were red flags up) and a big wave hit me and I tumbled around. I lost my sunglasses and never saw them again. We were eighteen in Mexico for spring break with no parents. It felt like a dream.

The next day we woke up bright and early to go to the local shopping mall, La Isla. We took a public bus there and back. On the way back our bus was hit by a truck driver. That was quite a scare but no one was hurt.

That night we went out to a club. The D.J. kept making comments about my friend and her shoes. For example he would repeat, “Nice shoes Sam!”  But at the end of every night I wished my mother was there because I just wanted to tell her about everything.
