Traveling - My Family Travels
We took a family vacation from Southern California to Phoenix, Arizona. This Family trip was like no other .It all started when mu Tia was about to graduate from college. We planned a rip to go there to celebrate with her. So it was going to be my mom, my three sisters, my brother and I. Which is all teenagers, with exception of my mom, and brother.
We had rented a car, to drive there It was cherry red. Which reminded me of a clown car, I imagined fifteen Clowns jumping out of the trunk. A red Ford, Focus. Five passenger car with no tint so that was completely embarrassing and really made things worse for all of us. Which was going to make this 8 hour car ride the worst. Hot and all of us touching, not what I pictured to be a vacation. But I should not complain we all have not been together since well a while, my brother has been gone for a while. We have really missed him.
So we packed the car, I had sat in the back with my sisters. We were pretty much jammed tight no movement could go on. We all had our pillows and snacks on our laps. We all were smiling even though we were so uncomfortable. Our Windows were down and we were all looking like a bunch of dogs. My Mom playing her country music, singing along and dancing. To tell you the truth my knees were touching the seat in front of me and it was an 8 hour car drive.
My Sisters had all taken naps and one lying on top of the other. With their bad breath and gross feet. When we finally arrived there it was 110 degrees and humid. Which for my hair was a total disaster. We had gone swimming at the resort and we had gone for dinner. The next morning we went to my Tia’s graduation. From which we got lost on the freeway and had to do a three sixty on the streets. Her graduation turned out very nice, I sat there pushing my hair down the whole time. The next morning we got back into the car and headed back home.
To tell you the truth we had so much fun in that little clown car. Those memories I had in that little time I would not trade for anything. I spent time with my brother whom I have not spent with in at least 3 years. In just a few hours it can turn into a lifetime of memories. Just Sleeping, singing to the music, and laughing. How could all this happen in such a small amount of time?
