Turning the Page of life (An Escape) - My Family Travels

In the words of St.Augustine, "The world is a book and those who do not travel only read one page." This statement is one that symbolically expresses traveling quite well. This can directly relate to the saying , "Don't Judge A Book by its Cover" . It's just like simply reading the cover of an amazing book and setting it back down. Just think, you could be missing out on something life changing (all the knowledge and information that was not delved into). In being it so that Travel is defined as ,"To proceed or advance in any way", symbolically I've been a traveler in mind, over some time, within books before getting a real chance to physically "go" somewhere. In the case that some people aren't physically fortunate enough to travel the world, sometimes a book is all one needs to escape. As for me, before having the opportunity to physically travel, by grabbing a book and opening the pages, even those without pictures I was "set free" in a way. These books allowed my mind to venture and I was opened up to a new world with every new book I read. Pertaining to natural traveling, since there are nearly 200 countries in this world that contain a number of states towns cities etc. there are millions, no billions of places in this world to visit. Since 1961, April 12th when Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space, the world isn't even a boundary. In being so that this world is so large and the saying, "the sky is the limit" has even been defied there is so much to explore in this world; so large, beautiful, farout, and ever changing.  I sort of began my exploration in my 18th year of life, Finally!  Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, that's basically what all my 18 years of life had consisted of; Gary Gary Gary. Because Gary is such a down trodded place in many circumstances, leaving for a little while was like a "wake up" call. It was like the world said ,"You don't know what you are missing." Recently, after 18 years just in one "spot" in the world, I got a chance to not only leave but ride on a plane to Tennessee and from there ride to Alabama. My Eyes and my mind just went on a "trip" without my mouth having to utter a word and expressed a "WoW" from within. Beginning with my anticipation/worry of my first plane ride, to getting over that, literally, {"in the clouds"} and to ending up hundreds of miles away from all that i'd ever known,  to a place with such beauty, such life. The plane ride made me see the world in a whole new way and had me "sitting on clouds", even though I nearly peed my pants by fright from the turbulance, to getting back to the ground and having a whole other weather experience, like I was in a new world. I went from wearing a coat and boots to just HAVING to take some of that off.  From all those cloths to a  t-shirt and sandals was like a big change. Altogether it was an amazing experience, as it always is to see a sight never saw before.  So in it being that people normally grow up in one place and dont realize or have a chance to see that the world is so much bigger than that, it is.  So get out and explore it.  There's a lot to explore.   In ending. to quote Miriam Beard, a famous author, "...travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living." According to British writer, Sir Richard Burton, "One of the gladdest moments of human life, methinks, is the departure upon a distant journey into unknown lands. Shaking off with one mighty effort the fetters of habit, the leaden weight of routine, the cloak of many cares and the slavery of home, man feels once more happy.
