San Francisco is the epicenter of ethnic diversity, making it a great family vacation. My favorite landmark of San Fran was Alcatraz Prision. It was a great historical focal point. It is amazing to walk through the housing of some of historys most notorious criminals. Although Alcatraz was my favorite, I also have to mention Fishermen's Warf and Lombard Street. Fishermens warf is beautiful at night and is full of amazing street performers including the Robot Man and Several live bands. One of the most memorable is the Bushman, jumping out at you iat any given moment, giving you the fright of your life. Boudins Bakery was one of my favorite stores. A large bakery towards the end of Fishermans Warf, it specializes in bread that depict animals and other recognizable figures. You can watch them make the bread fresh through their large store front windows. Lombard street is famous for it extreme curves. It took us a while to find it because of the many roads San Fran holds, but when we did find it, it was an adventure in itself. Let me not mention San Fran without mentioning both The Golden Gate Bridge and The Bay Bridge. Taking the Bay Bridge into San Francisco you can see across the bay, past Alcatraz, past Angel Island, famous for immigration purposes, and all the way to The Golden Gate Bridge. The view is absolutley spectacular, and the nighttime view from the Golden Gate is just as amazing. So weather you are a rural person or an urban person you are sure to love San Francisco, California.
