Who knew God could make something that could take your breath away | My Family Travels

I never thought the Grand Canyon would be anything special.  A canyon that is grand, right?  It wasn't until me and my mom were driving up to the National Park site that I saw how HUGE this place was.  It was crazy!  And then we drove up to the parking lot and you couldn't really see much at that point.  We had to walk a little ways, with my mom who has artritis in her ankle really bad, so we were going kind of slow.  There was sort of this build up in the suspension for me.  There were TONS of people there walking with us.  It was a pretty huge place.  We finally get to the overlook, and there are tons of people in the way so you had to move closer before I could actually see anything.  The people sort of parted and I just stoped.  Words cannot describe the absolute peace I felt there.  Just standing there like an idiot looking at this immense canyon that seems to stretch as far as the eye could see.  It was absolutely perfect.  Just that one moment, where I couldn't even hear anyone around me, just standing there and looking at something totally beautiful.  It was the most peaceful I have ever felt in my entire life.  I wish I could have stayed there forever!  No one can fully put that place into words and do it justice.  You have to go and see it for yourself.  I would definately go back and spend as long as I can there.  Just to go there and forget about all your troubles and relax in nature.
