incredible and amazing get away - My Family Travels
Who ever knew that after a tragedy can come something so incredible that can leave people speechless? My family and I experienced that 3 years ago, but we remember it like it was yesterday. This experience was a gift to us from two orgazinations called "Make a Wish" foundation and "Give Kids the World". They did everything possible to make my little sisters dream come true.

My little sister was diagnose with cancer when she was 6 years old. During this period of time my family was falling emotionally apart, while my sister was dieying slowly. We encountered many difficulties. I was constanly being reminded of my sister in school, because we were learning about the Holocaust. My second sister was having problems in school, she did not want to do her work. My third sister was feeling left out. My baby sister had a feeling of neglection. Everybody was affected in different ways, thankfully we all survived through it all.

Months pass and a wonderful wish was granted to my sister. People from "Make a Wish" foundation went to our house to grant her wish. The first thing that came to her mind was Disney World. We were all ecstatic when they told us we were going by plane. We had never traveled by air before. They also told us that "Give Kids the World" was going to supply us with our hotel. "Make a Wish " gave us everything; plane tickets, rental car, hotel, park passes, and even money to spend. We were anxious for the day to arrive.

Finnally the day arrived and we were so exited. We got to the airport and borded on our plane. I remember as the plane was taking off my sisters yelled WOW! with excitement. Two hours passed and we reached our destination, all we heard was PASSANGERS WELCOME TO ORLANDO, FLORIDA . We rushed off the plane and we were escorted to our rental van. We were given a map to our hotel. When we found the "hotel", it turned out to be a little village that gives kids with cancer or blood disorders a place to stay while they are in vacation.

We were there for a week, but those seven days went by really quick. The climate made the vacation even better because during the day it was sunny and at night there was a refreshing breeze to end a perfect day. Our day started off with a nice warm meal, then we would head off to one of the extrodinary parks filled with attractions, we would come back to the village and relax. The village had a spa, movie theater, ice cream place, sandwich place, mini golf, a train and a kitchen. Everything there was FREE. We could order as many pizzas as we wanted to and get countless ice cream cones. All my family gained a couple of pounds during the vacation.

We all knew that Disney World was not going to last forever and that the dream had to come to an end, when we were heading back home. It was hard  to say good bye to the Sunshine State because I fell in love with it. All of the memories are still in my head and I will be reminded of this amazing experience by pictures and videos. This get away was simply surreal.
