Anaheim here we Go! - My Family Travels
Relax day
Newport Beach

After a long and stressful sophomore year with a lot of complication because of tests, schedule, projects, and then the classes for next year I had a really hard time and the only thing I wanted was for it to be summer vacation. I never felt so exhausted and lost before because I was thinking a about my future and school made it harder for me to breathe since I didn't have time for myself. Once summer vacation started I was happy that there was no school because it would give me time to think and relax and to enjoy the World Cup 2010.

At first my parents did not have plans for a vacation but it seem that we were all exhausted and with the hot, blazing weather it made us even more tired. With 5 sisters and one brother, my parents, me, and lets not forget my dog were 10 in total so planning and taking vacation days off work was to be done.  We all decided to go visit our uncle who had been inviting us for a while now to Santa Ana, Anaheim, California. We all got pack and in the family suburban we all were heading to a place we did not know but in which we hope to lighten our stress. Watching the freeway, hearing music, watching movies, and taking breaks we all had a good time because it was like a adventure where we had nothing but the things we brought.

When we got to Santa Ana we notice three things it was really green with trees and flowers everywhere, the weather was just beautiful, and that there were lots of dog lovers just the place for us. It was beautiful and different then any trip my family took since my uncle and his family received us well and showed us around, my dog even got his personal area where he could stay in our uncle's house and my uncle made us all feel at home. Unlike other vacations we've taken where an aunt of ours invited the whole family which we didn't even knew, and did random parties which she claim was for us but we didnt even know what was going on since it was like a zoo; we didn't feel at ease but in Santa Ana it was full with respect and peace.

We went to Disneyland for the first time and it was so cool because I had always wanted to go and now I could raise my hand like everyone else since I went to Diseyland. There were musicians and dancers in Disneyland, weddings which I thought were part of the amusement until they told me that they were actually REAL weddings and there were also fireworks it was just amazing to live a new experience which I really appreciated.

Then the next day our uncle took us to the Newport Beach which was crowded and neither did my sibling nor I felt comfortably but we started to like the atmosphere and so we ran to get wet. My dog who does not love water at all ran after us INTO the water which really surprise me but I was happy, he could actually swim but we did get a bit nervous since we didn't want our dog to have an accident in the water like Marley did. My twin sister and I took a walked around the beach with our dog and seeing all the happy people either playing Frisbee, or football, collecting seashells it was amazing because we never had experience this before. At the beach with every wave that come over me it was sort of like it was taken all the weight from my back which seem that I had been carrying for a while was now lightening my back, all the stress was gone a new me was charged up after I left Santa Ana. It was a place where I had taken my break from this stress and lost feeling in which I was but in which I had come back recovered.

I had a really great time here in Santa Ana, California and would recommend everyone to visit whenever they have the chance to go.
