In the heart of the bustling Bayou city lies a vibrant community waiting to welcome all visitors with signature Texas charm. From food to festivities, Houston possesses a truly vast assortment of attractive and affordable choices for all. A favorite hotspot of locals, located at the corner of I-10 and the Sam Houston Tollway, is City Centre Plaza – home of countless restaurants and a popular hangout for all ages. With various events such as movie nights or live music underneath the stars in their grassy pavilion, City Centre is a relaxing and enjoyable experience with something for everyone.

Shoppers have quite the options when visiting Houston, from the forementioned City Centre area, to Memorial City Mall and the renowned Galleria Mall. Besides the truly incredible amounts of choices in stores, the malls can also provide cooler alternatives to the good ole Texas heat in ice skating rinks and movie theaters.
After long days of touring around the interesting city, Houston does not disappoint in terms of cuisine either. For the more adventurous, there are food trucks such as H-town Streats, Nola’s, and the Good Dog Food truck, all sporting creative combinations that will astound your tastebuds. The Museum of Natural Science in Houston continuously rotates its collections and exhibits of interesting topics. Personally I am fascinated constantly by their extensive research into the human body or the fundamentals of physics. The Children’s Museum is a perennial delight to youngsters of all age. With its abundance of interactive games and activities, it’ll give you parents a well-deserved break from the young’uns. For the more musically inclined, the Houston Symphony hosts some truly astounding performances. The most recent concert I attended featured the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl projected onto a large projector while underneath the Houston Symphony performed the entire soundtrack to the movie for an incredibly immersive and innovative experience.
