The Quiet Urban City of Pompano Beach - My Family Travels

In between the upper class city of Boca Raton and the busy populous Ft.Lauderdale there is the break point between the two, the city of Pompano Beach. Although this city is not as lively or exciting as it's nearby neighbors there is still plenty to do in the city I call home.

Considering my city has the word beach in it it's safe to say the first thing I recomend is to head on over to the city's beach aptly named pompano beach. A few years back the beach was run down and not so cleanly but now the entire beach has gone through rennovation and has been cleaned up and rebuilt with a brand new boardwalk and pier. If you wish to enjoy the sand and sun with half the crowd you'd find at Ft.Lauderdale Pompano Beach is the place to go.

Of course you can't just visit the beach since there's always more to do. Pompano Beach is home to one of the GoodYear blimps and to go over to where its stationed and see it fly is a must for all fans of aviation. Right across from where the blimp is held is Pompano Park. Here you can do all sorts of outdoor activities from jogging to playing basketball to holding a party with friends and relatives, you can even use the tennis courts and public pool for a small fee. If you come to Pompano Beach in december you have the chance to see the annual boat parade held by the community. The parade features all kinds of boats with various different decorations and themes, not only that but you get to talk and have fun with others while enjoying a florida night.

While I could go on about my city there is only so much I can say. I guess it's not the busiest city or the most exciting or most iconic but you know what, it wouldn't be the same if it was. Pompano Beach is a casual city and its were you get to know the daily life in florida. This is the place I live and me and my community work to keep it a wonderful and peaceful place. Come on over to Pompano Beach, relax, sit down and enjoy all the city has to offer.
