A trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee brings forth a high altitude adventure. When I visited my entire family was able to come. We rented a gorgeous four story cabin high in the mountains. Though the high altitudes in the mountains can cause a bit of ear popping the view is more than worth it. Our cabin had eight rooms, two pull out sofas and four queen sized bunk beds. There was also a game room and a hot tub as well as a full kitchen. No Tennessee adventure is complete without a visit to the Smokies, where outdoor family fun awaits. First we visited the welcome center. Here you can see a 3-D map of the entire mountain, get directions to the trails and fishing stops, buy some lovely postcards and stop in for a bathroom break. The trails vary in degree of difficulty with many easy ones available. Along the trail there is the opportunity to see bears playing in the forest. Just remember to stay on the trail, don't drop any trash and be careful because the path can get a little slippery in some spots. To walk up the trail it took us about 45 minutes to an hour but the view of the waterfall was worth the sometimes steep climb. As far as fishing goes there are rules that vary each season. On the main road the amount of family friendly activities is astonishing. From miniature golf to go karts and bungee jumps there is something for everyone. There are also many family friendly comedy shows such as the Hatfield's and McCoy”s and the Comedy Barn dedicated to promoting clean family entertainment. The Comedy Barn was definitely the highlight of our trip. One of my uncles was called on stage to be apart of one of the skit. The guy in charge started out by asking what each of the volunteers did. When he got to my uncle who said he works on virtual computers that's when the fun really started. Needless to say that was the best part of the trip. Another cool thing about Gatlinburg is the fact that they have a radio station dedicated to telling those visiting what fun events are going on each day. On top of that there are many attractions given through Ripley's. There is an aquarium, mini golf, haunted adventures, mirror maze, moving theater, fun zone and the Ripley's believe it or not museum. You can also go ziplining and white water rafting. Though it can seem scary when you first start I was able to go ziplining and it was the best experience ever! The best part of being in Gatlinburg is the view from the mountains. We would go out on our balcony and watch the sunrise from our cabin. The fun part is that we were above the clouds. The sunset was truly the best. To see the wonderful colors makes you stop and appreciated nature. This vacation was the best that my family has ever gone on. We had fun not just bonding with each other but we were all able to try new things that we wouldn't have done anywhere else.

Wow, Fran Falkin’s pet travel tips are a lifesaver! ? Planning our pet-friendly vacation has been a breeze thanks to these insightful tips. Great post.
Yes, recent trends suggest that Americans are regaining confidence in vacations and travel. As travel restrictions ease and vaccination rates increase, many Americans are showing a greater willingness to travel and explore destinations again. However, it’s important to stay updated on travel advisories and safety measures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
Reading Fran Falkin’s insights took me back to my first trip with Whiskers, my feline companion. The chaos of ensuring he was comfortable amidst the hustle of the airport was a lesson in patience. Had I come across these invaluable tips earlier, our journey would’ve been as smooth as a calm sea.
