Set deep in southern New Jersey is a quaint, quiet town named Mullica Hill. It’s location is a mere half-hour from big cities such as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Newark, Delaware and only an hour from Atlantic City and other shore towns. Not many have heard of the town, but those who have continuously rave of its allure and beauty.  Founded in the late 17th century, around the Civil War era, Mullica Hill has the perfect blend of intriguing history and a promising future. Each winding road is lined with lush, bushy emerald trees and rich farmland.  Mullica Hill makes tourists wish their hometowns were just as jovial and welcoming. Everyone in the town knows everyone else, so it’s also a very tight-knit area. In this community, new faces bring new friends and opportunities and old faces bring old memories and good times.

One popular attraction in Mullica Hill is its historic district on Main Street. Antique stores and old houses are bustling areas of interest for tourists. It’s no wonder the town’s tagline is, “What’s old is new again.” There are over two dozen historical sites including the Old Mill Antique Center, a popular three-floor antique shop housed in an old barn. Also of interest are the increasing numbers of cafes, boutiques and dance and art studios on Main Street. The complete list of Historic Mullica Hill’s stores and houses can be seen here. Once known simply for historic buildings, the road is now known for modern attractions as well. Main Street is also the source of exciting annual events like the lovely Antiques Street Fair in April, the spooky, yet fun Ghost Walk in October, and the holiday Christmas House tours in December. In Mullica Hill, there’s always something to do!

Historic buildings aren’t the only interesting thing in this town. Creamy Acres, known country-wide as one of the scariest, most terrifying Halloween attractions, is located right in Mullica Hill. For such a calm community, Creamy Acres is unexpectedly invigorating and frightening! “Night Of Terror,” at Creamy Acres has even been featured on HGTV’s “Scariest Haunted Houses.” You can check out the full list of events in Creamy Acres

Despite only having about 4,000 residents, Mullica Hill is a place that should not be overlooked. The strong sense of family in this community can make any curious tourist feel at home. A short walk down Main Street is sure to turn any city dweller into a rural local in no time. Bring your family down to Mullica Hill this year. It’s sure to please and leave you wanting more.
