Hello Rachel. My name is Mark Dougherty and I am a driver for hire. I charge $10.00 an hour driving time based on Google maps. According to Google driving time is 46 hours so my driving cost is $460.00 plus expenses.
Expenses are:
Driving: $460.00
Meals: $50.00 per day x 6 days=$300.00
Motels: $100.00+/- per night x 5=$500.00+/-
Fuel: 3,100 miles ÷ 40 mpg=77.5 x 4.00=$310.00
Transportation to San Diego airport and return home $60.00
Plane ticket to San Francisco from San Diego Southwest if purchased today for Aug 8 departure 6:30 am arriving 8:00 am $60.00.
Boston to San Diego Southwest 5:15 am departure arrive 9:50 am $287.00
I put all expenses on my credit card with exception of the plane tickets. I ask that you put them on your credit card. I ask for two receipts for all purchases related to the trip, on for your records.

I come to US around end of April / start of May. I need to be in San Francisco around May 15th.
I plan to do some travelling before that. It would be a nice experience to drive from west towards east. I arrive most likely to JFK, and then fly to Florida / Texas and preferably could start my journey from there, but other locations are negotiable too. And I am open to destination location, I can continue from there to California by plane.I am from Scandinavia/Europe I have had driving license for 35 years, driven 1 million kilometers / some 625000 miles and have clean record. I have driven in LA, Rome, Paris, London … I will not charge anything, petrol we can discuss. Main motivation for me is I get to drive as tourist a bit and you have your car delivered.
As profession I am entrepreneur in software business and heading to AI conference in Santa Clara. Whatever insurences etc might be needed, I will get those.

My dad is willing to drive from Phoenix AZ to Seattle WA areas for FREE aside from gas fees anytime in the next two months. Would you wait until spring time to do the move. It’s a 47+ hour drive in winter months. I am in San Diego, CA. I am a driver for hire. I am retired. I have been doing driving other peoples vehicle going from Point A to Point B since 2012. I had one trip from San Diego into Canada driving a uhaul truck. I had some issues getting through customs. I don’t want any issues with the local police if I got stopped. So I would want everything clear for driving your car from Saint John to Calgary. I did drive with my daughter driving her car from Anchorage to San Diego back in 2014 with no problems, but that was my daughters car not a person that I did not know and from another country.
