Thanksgiving at The Ritz Carlton New York | My Family Travels

In response to our request to hear about family travelers’ nominations for the new guidebook, “The Most Amazing Places to Take Your Kids in North America,” Charlotte Wildrick submitted the following comments on an experience her family is thankful for:

The Ritz Carlton New York, Battery Park, offers a “Thanksgiving Fantasy” package that includes viewing the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving parade from a skybox in Times Square (with floor-to-ceiling windows), while dining on brunch.

As part of the package, you get hotel rooms facing the Statue of Liberty which have telescopes in the rooms for close-up viewing. Plus, you get a special shopping trip to FAO Schwartz and tons of NYC excitement!

We did this in 2004 and it was a trip we’ll always remember.

Word to the wise, though….it’s pricey and it fills up fast! Make reservations now for next year!
