I can remember it like it was yesterday. Saying goodbye was the hardest part about me leaving. I had to leave my best friend behind.

I remember seeing my grandparents for the last time. The terrible look of sadness in their faces worried me,I had no choice but to ignore it. For you see, the only trip i’ve ever taken was a move to the United States.

My parents made the decision by themselves, my opinion didn’t count. I’ve always wanted to move to the U.S. though.

I used to think that if i moved, all my problems would just go away. But I was wrong my experience in the airport was the worst part about my trip, that’s when my real problems begun. My father warned my mother not to pack too much stuff in our luggage but my mom is a very stubborn lady.

She overpacked all of our suitcases which made my dad very mad during luggage checkup. My father was so upset when he found out that our suitcases weighed more than they should have that he thew every clothes we ever owned in the floor of the airport. He caused such a big scene that my sisters and I had to pretend that we didn’t even know him.

It was the most embarassing day of my entire 14 years of living. The rest of our trip wasn’t very bad though. In the plane, I got to sit next to the window, so I really enjoyed the view.

The best aspect of the plane was it’s food. I ate both my tray and my dad’s, the chesse and the chocolate were delicious. After a couple of hours, we arrived to the U.S airport, from there we took a taxi which transported us to our new home.

I could tell from the country’s aspecit that I would require time to get used to living in a new house and neighorbood but I gave it a chance. I ended up making new friends in a very short period of time after the trip. I’ll always remember my first and only trip, it was the most memorable day of my living.
