My name is Barbara Ann Jackson and I am fom Jackson, Mississippi, where I was raised by both mother and father until I was five years old. My childhood life was unexplainable because I had to watch and see my mother get abused. My mother Maria did everything that she could to make her marrige last. Finally she and my father was divorced and there was only my mother and sister Jelisa. Being without an father was hard for me. On the other hand, it gave my mother so much relief. Years later, my mom met George who was an idol dad to me. Then came along George Jr. who completed our family.
We moved to Toledo, then back to Jackson. That’s when the Hurricane Katrina hit, which left us with no food nor water. Three weeks pased and we had to leave what we called an home behind. We came to Toledo with nothing so we had to find help. An older lady named Anea took us in. Soon, FEMA gave us money and got us a house that my mom would want to buy one day. It’sgetting close for me to go to college, but my family cannot afford it so that is why this is an big opportunity for me. I hope I reach your standards to receive the scholarship. If not I will still be blessed to send your company my life changing story. Thank you so much and GOD BLESS!!!!
