Wildwood, New Jersey - My Family Travels

Every year for the past about 5 years, my family and I have traveled to Wildwood, New Jersey with my majorette squad to attend a Championship competition. I always return home with the best or worst memories, but lots of pictures. I love going to New Jersey with my team, it’s a great way to get out of school for a few days, and to have loads of fun at the end of a competition season.

I found that going to New Jersey with so many of my friends would be a lot more fun if we didn’t have to practice every day for the competition. I found the solution to that little problem when I had the opportunity to travel with my high school band on our band trips. Band trips are a lot more fun for me because we have about 3-4 days of fun, only interrupted by a parade in one of the mornings that takes about 2 hours.

So a band trip to Wildwood, New Jersey would be ideal. There isn’t too much practicing, and the parade doesn’t last the entire weekend like a competition does. If a family wishes to have an ideal vacation, the beach is a great place to take their children.

There is so much to do on the beach, down the boardwalk, Wildwood even has a few amusement parks along their boardwalk. To assure a fun vacation with minimal sulking, make a point to let the children have their best friend tag along. Trips are always more fun when spent with a friend.

I know I always enjoy taking pictures and swimming with friends, and it makes me more open to spending time with my family. A family vacation can be loads of fun, if it is planned to be that way.
