I was asked to follow on a three day tour.

I’ve never really gone on something exciting in my whole life; family trips, going an hour away for a show is maybe the furthest I have done with just friends. We were going from Saint Petersburg, Florida through Jacksonville into Orlando and so one. There was a chance it could last longer then the three days but, none of us cared. Three teenagers piled into a car much to small for them with to many items for such a small trip.

Its not that we were going far, or going some where so different… It was the fact that we were going. On our own, taking reign of our life for these three days & feeling like rock stars.  We were driving with the windows down, music blaring, singing at the top of our lungs. Waving at cars full of children on their way to Disney land; Feeling so much older then the children even though none of us were really adults.

Even though the plans fell apart, & the fighting ensued; The car felt to cramped & we separated our group in Orlando. The feeling when we left our city together for the first time… The freedom. The breeze that felt like we would be gone for so long, the sound of the music as we felt so adult…so alive. Who would have thought you could go so far without ever leaving your state.
