That Tree - My Family Travels

On a hot summer day, my best friend, Rene, and I decided to take off and enjoy his last moments living in Fontana.  We quickly left the house and drove off not knowing where we were going.  We quickly came across a small park located on the corner Curtis and Beach called Rosena Park.  We decided to pull over because of the swings, but we did not know was that we were going to come across a spectacular view!

As we walked along the park we found a tree that was just big enough to crawl into.  As we crawled through its branches we saw the most beautiful tree!  There were squirrels running in and out, one after the other as if they were playing a game.  Some came so close to our feet that the designs of their fuzzy coats were visible.  Such a beautiful stripe was painted down their backs.  The bees were buzzing around as if it was a game of tag.  One buzzed to the other and to the other and so on leaving no traces behind.  The sun spoke loudly through a small peep hole of the branches telling every creature to wake up to the wonderful new day.  The branches stretched out far into the sky as if they were hugging the clouds above.  There were two big branches that reached horizontally as if God placed a bench for those to sit and just admire the life around. When I we looked closely at the branches we could see the ants hurrying around preparing breakfast for everyone.  As I looked over to the left, I could see the spiders waking up to their meals wrapped up in the exotic webs.  Birds were singing sweet melodies to our ears for an even more relaxing setting.

The slight humidity within the tree was perfect to keep us cool on the hot summer day.  The animals singing and running left to right created sounds only soothing to the ear.  That one tree on that one day  was the perfect get away for Rene’s last moments in Fontana.
